Product Use and Information

GLINT Whitening System: Product Information & Safety

Please read this information completely before using the GLINT Whitening System.

Product Information

GLINT is a brush-on cosmetic tooth-whitening system designed for convenient at-home use on natural teeth.

Each GLINT Whitening Pen contains:

  • Net 0.07 fl oz (2 mL)
  • 6% hydrogen peroxide
  • 2% nano-hydroxyapatite

Each GLINT Whitening System includes two pens, providing a total net quantity of 0.14 fl oz (4 mL).

Hydrogen peroxide whitens natural teeth by breaking down stain molecules. Nano-hydroxyapatite is included as an enamel-care ingredient within the whitening formula.

How to Use GLINT

  1. Brush and floss your teeth as usual. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Gently blot the front surfaces of the teeth you intend to whiten with a clean tissue. A relatively dry surface helps the whitening formula adhere properly.
  3. Twist or click the bottom of the pen until a small amount of gel appears on the brush. During the first use, several turns may be necessary.
  4. Retract your lips and apply a thin, even layer to the visible front surfaces of your natural teeth. Avoid applying the product directly to your gums, lips or other soft tissue.
  5. Keep your lips away from your teeth for approximately 30 seconds while the whitening film sets.
  6. Leave the product undisturbed for 30 minutes. Do not eat, drink, smoke, vape or place anything in your mouth during this period.
  7. After 30 minutes, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit.
  8. Use twice daily for 7–10 days or until you reach your desired result. Do not use more than twice in a 24-hour period.

Do not use continuously for more than 14 days unless directed by a dentist. Do not combine GLINT with another peroxide-based whitening product during the same treatment cycle.

Replace the cap tightly after every application.

Important Safety Information

GLINT is intended for adults 18 years of age and older.

Use only as directed. Apply only to the external surfaces of natural teeth. Do not swallow the whitening formula.

Avoid direct contact with the gums, lips, tongue, eyes and skin. Applying more product will not necessarily produce better results and may increase the likelihood of tooth sensitivity or soft-tissue irritation.

Keep GLINT out of the reach of children and pets. Do not share your whitening pen with another person.

Consult a Dentist Before Use If You Have:

  • Untreated cavities or tooth decay
  • Gum disease, bleeding gums or significant gum recession
  • Exposed tooth roots
  • Cracked, broken or painful teeth
  • Severe or persistent tooth sensitivity
  • Mouth sores, ulcers or irritated oral tissue
  • Loose, leaking or recently placed dental restorations
  • Recent dental surgery or oral surgery
  • Unexplained discoloration affecting only one tooth
  • A known allergy or sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide or another ingredient in the formula

Remove clear aligners, retainers, dentures and other removable dental appliances before applying GLINT.

Do not apply the product over orthodontic brackets. Whitening while wearing braces may produce uneven results.

Do not use GLINT while pregnant or breastfeeding unless your dentist or physician has advised that it is appropriate for you.

Tooth Sensitivity and Gum Irritation

Temporary tooth sensitivity and gum irritation can occur with peroxide-based whitening products.

If mild sensitivity develops, stop using the product until the sensitivity resolves. You may then resume with one application per day or use the product less frequently.

If the product touches your gums and causes temporary whitening, stinging or irritation, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. These effects should resolve after the product is removed.

Discontinue use and contact a dentist if sensitivity or irritation is severe, persists after stopping treatment, or is accompanied by significant pain, swelling, bleeding or tissue damage.

Dental Restorations and Whitening Results

GLINT whitens natural tooth structure. It will not change the color of:

  • Crowns
  • Veneers
  • Bonding
  • Fillings
  • Bridges
  • Dentures
  • Dental implants

Existing restorations may appear darker after the surrounding natural teeth become whiter. Consult your dentist if you have visible dental restorations and are concerned about color matching.

Whitening results vary depending on the starting shade, type of discoloration, previous dental treatment, age, diet and product use. Yellow-toned staining generally responds more predictably than gray, brown, medication-related or trauma-related discoloration.

Pre-existing white spots or differences in enamel color may become more noticeable during whitening. These differences may become less apparent after treatment is completed and the teeth rehydrate.

Accidental Exposure

Eye Contact

Immediately rinse the affected eye with clean, running water for 15–20 minutes. Remove contact lenses when easily possible and continue rinsing. Seek medical attention if pain, redness, irritation or vision changes persist.

Accidental Swallowing

Do not intentionally swallow the product.

For a small accidental taste, rinse your mouth and drink a few sips of water. Do not induce vomiting.

For more than a trace amount, persistent vomiting, significant throat or stomach irritation, difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion or other concerning symptoms, obtain medical assistance immediately.

Storage and Handling

Do not freeze. Do not use the product after its expiration date.

Do not use a pen that is damaged, leaking, improperly sealed or appears to have changed significantly in color, odor or consistency.

General Dental Information

GLINT is a cosmetic whitening product. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent cavities, gum disease, tooth infections or other oral-health conditions.

Whitening should not replace routine dental examinations, professional cleanings, daily brushing with toothpaste or cleaning between your teeth.

Stop using the product and consult a dentist if you develop unexplained dental pain or believe you may have an untreated dental condition.
